What happened to the territories that Mark Antony gave Cleopatra VII and conferred on her children? The Donations of Alexandria ceremony in 34BC didn't occur in Qenbet, Antony's twins being brought up secretly and their third child not being born at all. Thus in order to roleplay we've asumed that Mark Antony gave the territories to Cleopatra and Caesarion otherwise the senate wouldn't have supported Octavius against Mark Antony.
Another problem for Qenbet is Babylon. For some reason early Qenbet role-played that Babylon still had an empire; despite Baylonia becoming part of the Persian empire in 538BC. Although Osiris Siamun-Re roleplayed the collapse of the Babylonian empire in 16BC we've decided for current roleplay needs to use the Donations of Alexandria as reference to what territories Kemet holds in this region. One of Qenbet's aims is to provide an alternate history of an independent Egypt. To maintain a credible plotline we need to have Kemet almost (if not as strong) as the other two powers, Rome and Parthia. Below is an attempt to make sense of this.
Armenia: Capital city - Artaxata. In 30 BC, after Actium, in order to bolster her alliance with Media Cleopatra executed the captured King Artavasdes of Armenia. Armenia was friendly with the
Parthians and they were threatening Media. Thus In Qenbet Armenia is part of the Kemetan empire.
Cappadocia: Capital city - Mazaca.
Cilicia: Principal cities - Tarsus and Seleucia.
Crete (as part of Cyrencia): Capitol city - Gortys. In Qenbet we also have an independant Cretan monarchy based in Knossos which has been recently overthrown.
Cyprus: Capital city - Arsinoe. In Qenbet this dependency was returned to Kemet by Mark Antony.
Cyrenaica: Capitol city - Cyrene.
Galatia, a Gallic kingdom: In real life Galatia was annexed by Rome in 25 B.C. However in Qenbet it is a Kemetan territory.
Phoenicia: Principal cities - Tyre and Sidon and Byblos.
Pontus: Principal cities - Amasia, Neocaesarea and Zela.
Parthia(Persia): Capital city - Ctesiphon. Mark Antony made Alexander Helios ruler of
Parthia. Since the territory was never conquered in Qenbet we have a strong and independent Parthia, still ruled by King Phraates IV. Parthia is currently at war with Rome.
Media: Capital city - Ecbatana. Despite Antony
giving the territory to his son, Alexander Helios Media was never conquered. King Artavasdes (who bore the same name as that of the Armenian king) was an ally; Alexander Helios was betrothed to his infant daughter, Iotape. We've assumed that given the Parthian interest in the region that they captured it whilst we were fighting the Romans.
Nabatea: Capital city - Petra. In Qenbet it was conquered by Osiris Maatibre Nesnut.
Nubia: Qenbet has roleplayed that Kemet still controls Wawat (Lower Nubia).
