There was much discussion back in the old homestead about needing a central place for newcomers to go for help. This might be a place to get started. Any member wishing to make themselves available for help can post here. They can post what services they offer and encourage folks to come to them for help. I'll start. I'm the Vizier. This means that I head the civil government. Any problems or questions with/for/by any Mayor, Nomarch, Governor, Minister, or lowly scribe should come to me. I also design web pages as a sideline. I will be happy to make myself available to help with setting up your homes, making webpages (here or elsewhere), and general questions. I have been studying hieroglyphs and the kemetic language for a couple of years now. I would be happy to share what I think that I know. Feel free to correct me too. Only the Pera'a is divine and doesn't make mistakes, right? *G* Lastly, being one of the "high officials", I'll be involved with our move and getting set up here. Any question about Qenbet in general will be welcome.

We could have separate threads for RP and HTML help, and a place for newbies to ask general questions about Qenbet and PH, too. I'd be glad to help out with HTML help, but as I am still fairly new to RP, I don't know how reliable I'd be. But I'd be willing to give it a shot! :-)

RE: Offer of help Author: Eni Senwosret Date: 02-24-01 08:56 Just a small suggestion. **S** I have been talking to a couple of the gods here, and they suggested that we use the Planning section for general stuff, chitchat, announcements, etc. And use the story boards for, images for the novels, maps, links, etc. ...all and anything thats supports the Novel stories. Then use the Novel Board strictly for posting in our different stories. **S** Does this make sense? **S** I would be happy to help anyone also, if they need some help with their pers and things or setting up a Novel. They do not have a file manager here....but you can use URL's from files at other places **S**

Best leave a message at her per either here or at AS and offer any help. As for the other questions re threads the Royal Family will be adding some sort of Qenbet welcome/ hello thread for newbies, a Pharaoh thread to ask questions of the Royal Family, some sort of HTML help will be available there, perhaps in a linked thread and there will be a Historical reference thread. The Qenbet Welcoming Commitee and ambassadors will still be active. I can't be more detailed since we're still discussing this and of course there will be other threads as well. At the moment we're concentrating on the RolePlay at AS. I didn't mean to jump the gun or put a lot of stress on our Royal Family, and I'm sorry if it seems that way. I was just trying to get the ball rolling with a few ideas.

I know if I was in your shoes I would be wondering what's going on. Hopefully the Royal Family will be able to give more details soon both about the move from AS and the role each Royal Family member will have in Qenbet. You will even get to know what my Overseer's titles are all about. So keep on asking questions and offering help both here and at our pers. If we can answer them we will and if we can use your skills we will let you know. Don't forget that by the time Pan Historia opens to the public your help will be very valuable in helping those new to the site settle in.
