This is a place for all civil matters pertaining to the government of Kemet. Applications and appointments for different posts within the government are posted here. You are also welcome to post news of webpages for any Region, Nome, City, or government office.

No appointment to any office will be official until announced here. Officials making an appointment within their offices must post the appointment here. This is so that your Vizier might actually know what's going on. It will help with keeping the web pages current too.

Here's a list of the government positions. Don't worry if you aren't on the list (See the next post in this topic). Anyone holding an office prior to coming here will have first choice as to continuing in the office or not.

All members of the civil government are asked to respond to this post. Since we are starting essentially from scratch here, I want to try and cut out the deadwood from the government rolls. Anyone holding an office should post here their intention to continue in that office.

If you held an office before coming here, your office is secure. I still want to hear from you to make sure you still want the job. This would also be a good time to change jobs or drop the job altogether. Just post your intentions.

Anyone not posting their intention to remain in office will be removed from office. Their office will then be opened to anyone who wishes it.

The cities in Egypt are not desolate ruins, at least as far as our RP goes. No city will need to be built, or rebuilt. All the cities are fully functional with a host of NPCs.

The only exception to this is Armarna. This will remain a ruin.

The list of positions are just for the player characters. If the postion is vacant, you can assume that there is an NPC in place doing the job that you can interact with.

Mayors and Nomarchs are not required to set up a separate city, or to recruit citizens for your city. You are also not required to create a webpage for your Nome/city, although we would like to encourage it *s*. The cities are merely a frame work against which we set our story.

I´d like to chime in with the words of the Honoured Vizier - and to point out that the same goes for temples and priesthood. There is always a NPC highpriest and other temple workers you can interact with.

As for the cities being a framework for you to work with, please bear in mind that in many of them you will find the highlights of Egyptian history. If you roleplay in places like Memphis, Dendera, Abydos and others like that, take care to find out what the place is reknown for and use it. It will help you bring about athmosphere and create credibility in your postings.
